All ingredients, from large manufacturers to small, local niche suppliers, represent a perfect fusion of efficiency and social responsibility. Below are some profiles of our main partners: Croda, Lucas Meyer and Integrity.
Integrity Ingredient Corporation
They are driving the “Beauty with a Conscience” movement in our efforts to globally commercialize highly effective, sustainable technologies from indigenous cultures that are in desperate socio-economic need around the world.
Their MagNUT Sense Oil is a cold-pressed, sustainable, 100% natural virgin oil and a powerful source of natural selenium that helps firm the skin and provide antioxidant protection.
MagNUT Sense Oil, a 100% natural virgin oil harvested from the Monkey Pot tree, which grows in the Colombian Caribbean along the banks of the Magdalena River.
Beyond deforestation, local income opportunities are scarce. Therefore, IIC employs local people to protect the trees, harvest MagNUT by hand and cold press it to preserve its purity and efficacy.
It is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, Omega 3, 6 and 9, and contains over 70% fatty acids. Once applied, the oil forms an elegantly dry protective film that promotes long-term hydration and prevents moisture loss.
Croda
Their long history of using bio-based raw materials means they have a significant responsibility to address issues related to nature, biodiversity and ecosystem dependencies. We continue to take steps to reduce our impacts on land, water and other natural resources, promoting a positive restorative approach beyond “doing less harm.”
Lucas Meyer
"We embrace our responsibility as stewards of tomorrow by driving change and advancing what's possible today. We've set out, alongside passionate people, to create cutting-edge operations and innovative solutions that mean progress for everyone today, while sustaining the world for our children tomorrow. Sustainability is at the core of our company strategy, embedded in our culture and driven by everyone."
Driven by our ambition to continuously improve our sourcing practices and respond to our stakeholders’ demand for ethically sourced natural products, IBR recently became a provisional member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), a recognised international non-profit association promoting sourcing with respect.
UEBT membership sets a guideline for how we should harvest, collect or grow ingredients from biodiversity in a way that is respectful of the local environment and the people who call it home. As a Provisional Member, we have successfully passed the UEBT membership assessment and meet UEBT's entry indicators, and are in the process of obtaining full membership.
